What are your shipping times?
Monocoat.US ships most orders within 24 business hours when placed Monday - Friday by 2:00pm EST. All orders will be shipped within 2 business days of receiving an order.
We ship out of Georgia using UPS and the USPS. We offer multiple methods of shipment to ensure that you receive your order in a timely manner.
Orders are processed and shipped Monday-Friday, unless noted otherwise on the website. In the rare occasion that your order is unable to ship in our usual manner, you will receive a notification via email.

What is your return policy?
Returns can be made 14 days from purchase. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unopened, unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Do you offer refunds?
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
If an order originally qualified for Free Shipping and the returned item(s) disqualify the order for Free Shipping, your refund will include credit for the item(s) less the original cost to ship the order.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable): - Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error - Any item that is returned more than 14 days after deliveryLate or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Do you allow exchanges?
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.Shipping

Please be sure to package the product well to prevent damage during transit.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We are unable to guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

We only ship products in the United States. Orders to Alaska and Hawaii require air shipment. If you are outside the U.S. Please visit the Rubio Monocoat website to locate a dealer.
Is there a clear Oil Plus 2C?
What is the difference between Oil Plus 2C and Oil Plus Part A only?
Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C consists of 2 components. Part A and Part B. Part A is the oil and Part B is the accelerator/hardener.
When Part B is used, the cure time is just 7 days. Making it more suitable for use on floors or other surfaces that you desire a quick cure time. A shorter cure time creates less chance of spotting, scuffing, etc. Part A only is fully cured in 3 weeks

How can I add sheen to my oil finish?
Can I put a polyurethane or lacquer topcoat over an Oil Plus 2C finish?
Is Oil Plus 2C Food Safe?
Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C is ideal for application on butcher block countertops, tabletops, charcuterie boards and other surfaces where food is involved, since it has been declared safe for use on food contact surfaces by an independent testing institute.
However, it is not recommended for use on cutting boards or other boards that are used for cutting, since the oil bonds with the top microns or the wood and a knife can cut deeper than the product penetrates. Leaving the wood exposed and susceptible to mold and/or bacteria growth.
Do I need to put a topcoat over Oil Plus 2C?
No, Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus, 2C does not require a topcoat due, thanks to the molecular bonding technology. This unique technology adheres the oil to the topmost fibers of the wood. This creates a durable finish that keeps the wood’s natural look and feel, without building up plastic layers on the surface, as occurs with traditional polyurethanes.
In addition, there is no need to apply additional oil to the wood, as is necessary with traditional waxes or oils.

Cleaning Oil Finished Floors
Can I use other manufacturers' cleaners or common retail cleaners?
How do I fix spots or scratches in my oil finish?

How often should my finished wood floors be cleaned?
Clean floors on an as-needed basis (Weekly, bimonthly, etc). This depends on the amount of use, with high-traffic floors and areas needing more regular cleaning and maintenance.
Using Rubio Monocoat Surface Care Spray or Soap is the best practice as other cleaners may have caustic qualities or use solvents that may damage the finish or add chemicals during the cleaning process.
How do I clean Rubio Monocoat finished/treated floors?
Clean as you would normally clean your floors using Surface Care Spray (weekly, bimonthly, etc). Vacuuming or dry mopping with a microfiber mop is also effective in your cleaning regimen.
Never use other cleaners, Surface Care Spray is the only cleaner you should use on your Rubio Monocoat floor.
