Review of Dark Oak
The finished product is amazing. Though darker than I would have thought for an oak slab, the finish covers well and preserves the wood nicely. Highly recommended for the novice or professional.
Monocoat Pure
This was my first time using Monocoat. I looked for a long time to find what I felt would be the best product. This is it! It was easy to apply and gave me the EXACT look I wanted. The family will be using this on the family house in NH that has the original wood floors.
Monocoat with activator "pure"
We really like how this came out on our counter top, which was made specifically to highlight all the colors of the hard wood used. It went on easily, dried nicely, but its a bit yellow (not clear) and it dried unevenly.
Rubio Monocoat plus 2c
I’m a contractor but it’s the First time using the product on my own bedroom floor just to test it before I introduce it in the field.
It worked just as advertised. I used the chocolate color and it looks amazing. A small learning curve with any product is expected. No Voc is great as we could stay in house while curing. I would recommend this product to anyone!!!
Cabinet Makers Total Solution to Finishing
I have been using Rustins Danish Oil, which I consider the best Danish oil in the world, for many years (unobtainable in the USA so have to source from a relative in the UK). Then I discovered Rubio Monocoat. The application, the finish, the feel, even the smell, is beyond wonderful. The ease of application saves hours on any typical project. The finish enhances the character of the wood beautifully without compromising the integrity or grain of the wood. So far I have used the "Pure" on Walnut, Black Cherry, Hard Maple and Ebony veneer and I doubt I will ever use Danish Oil again.
I wanted a slightly enhanced sheen to the finish so I was advised by Monocoat.us to apply the Universal Maintenance Oil over the Oil Plus 2C after it had cured. The result was nothing less than spectacular. Absolutely perfect. Not too glossy but a warm satin luster, again without compromising the grain pattern.
The support from the people at Monocoat.us in Georga is wonderful. Everyone I have spoken to have been extremely helpful, professional and knowledgeable of all their products. Their shipping is prompt and they are an absolute please to deal with.
Beautiful, and worked as advertised. Very accurate colors from screen to real life
I initially ordered 3 samples (black, ash grey and chocoloate), and while none of them were the color I ultimately chose, I felt confident that the Walnut would look like walnut. It went onto walnut veneer bench, shelves and mantle and looks PHENOMENAL! But if you're not applying it yourself, make sure the user reads the directions. This stuff behaves differently than the stain that a painter's used to. Rather, I got great advice from a furniture-making friend who uses it.
Rubio Monocoat 2C and oil.
This is the 3rd time I am using Rubio Monocoat 2C and oil. I began using it in 2015 when there were very few people who had used it in the market. I choose it after searching online for a stain that had low or no VOC. After a long search and close reading I decided to buy Rubio Monocoat. My project was successful and I have never looked back! I love the products because I can stain my house and stay in it with less dangers of breathing harmful products. The sitting room floor I stained in June 2015 is still looking great and yet I have hardly done anything to maintain it. The only problem I have with Rubio Monocoat is that you cannot save it for later use. Once mixed it has a shelf life of 4-6 hours and yet it is costly.
Love monocoat oil
This is a great product for all wood products. Pretty easy to apply. Finish last a long time.
Amazing
This product is hands down the best and easiest thing to use. I was extremely impressed!
love this stuff!
I'm very pleased with the results of this product. It goes on with minimal effort, it really brings out the character of the wood, and it smells great to boot! I've not used it before so I don't know how durable it is, but from what i've read it should last. The one thing I would suggest to a buyer is consider getting some syringes to measure for smaller projects. Pouring out of the cans is messy and wasteful, and with the cost of this stuff...
